This 1938 Epiphone Broadway is one of the 17-inch versions with solid walnut back and sides that are known for their great ability to cut through in a band mix.  This one is no exception with plenty of power and punch.  It was last owned by a luthier skilled in archtop building well known to us. He was using this one as a gigging guitar, but decided he would be more comfortable with a 16-inch guitar, and traded this one in.  He refretted the guitar, added the DeArmond FHC Guitar Mike pickup with an endpin jack and pickguard mounted volume control, replaced the fingerboard biding, replaced some missing  and broken inlays, and repaired the top cracks to make it an absolutely solid gigging guitar. With the work professionally done, it's a fantastic player and has the great tone expected of a 1930s Epiphone.

The tuners and bridge are original to the guitar and the back and sides are free of cracks.  The tailpiece is a modern example, and as noted before has an added endpin jack for the pickup.
