This Stromberg G-100 was made in about 1939 and features a parallel-braced, pressed, solid spruce top with laminated maple back and sides.  The maple neck is topped with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.  The ornate headstock overlay is in excellent condition.  The hardware is era correct and appears to be original to the guitar.  While most sunburst Strombergs have more of a perimeter pattern, there are at least a few examples that have an original finish similar to this guitar, and the finish appears compatible with the age of the guitar.
 
The guitar plays like a dream with action that can be set low if desired without any issues. The neck has a comfortable C-shaped carve.  The frets are in excellent condition with lots of life in them.  The tone is very punchy with loads of head room.  The guitar has lots of available volume as one would expect from a Stromberg archtop. 
 
The guitar is in excellent structural condition with the finish showing checking and a couple of stable, repaired top cracks extending from the treble side f-hole. The binding is all solid with no issues.  The original multi-ply pickguard and mounting hardware are included, but not currently mounted.
