This all original 1940 Epiphone Triumph is an exceptional sounding guitars, likely due to the highest quality woods which were used in its construction.  The fully carved maple back is made of extremely highly figured bubble maple, the kind normally reserved for the high end Emperor and Deluxe models and very rarely seen on a Triumph.  The Adirondack spruce hand carved top is in beautiful condition with no cracks.  It's a truly lively soundboard.  The sides are made of solid flamed maple.

The playability on the rounded C shaped neck is superb and notes ring out clearly across the fretboard with outstanding balance from low to high and excellent volume with bronze roundwound strings currently on it.

Unlike many Epiphones from this era, the binding is in excellent condition with no crumbling at all.  The tailpiece has had the typical
Frequensator bracket repair which can be seen in the photos.  The repair was very well done and is very strong.  The frets are in excellent condition.

It comes with a post-war Epiphone case with the embossed Epsilon logo in the inside of the top.  The case is in excellent condition with all hinges and latches in working order.
