This is a beautiful example of a rare, deluxe edition of this Gibson made 16-inch archtop with flamed maple back and sides, a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, checkerboard bonding, and a hand carved spruce top. The top is fully carved and X-braced

The guitar is presented here in all original condition. The original tuners have stable plastic tips and the original pickguard also appears stable and in excellent condition.

The playability is excellent and the guitar has the punch and tone one would expect in a pre-war 16-inch Gibson archtop.

The guitar has some finish wear, but nothing that impacts the playability or stability. The binding shows a little bit of shrinkage, as pictured, but appears stable. It came to us with a center seam crack in the top which has been repaired by master luthier, Darrell Guinn.

The guitar comes with a chipboard case that it came to us in.
