This is probably the most stunning post-war Epiphone Emperor I have ever seen, and it sounds every bit as good as it looks! The back is very heavily figured maple.  The top is fine grained spruce with pronounced silking, and the burst done on this one looks fantastic.

The guitar plays beautifully with frets that are in excellent condition.  The action is currently set fairly low for an acoustic instrument and it still rings loudly and clearly at all frets.  The neck angle is perfect, and the bridge has room to adjust either up or down as the player prefers.  Should the next owner prefer to use a floating pickup and want the action even lower for electrified use, the action could be brought down even lower, but as it is now, it's an acoustic cannon.

The guitar is in striking all original condition with only a few scattered, minor finish defects, a few small chips in the finish of the back of the headstock, and a cleated, tightly closed crack in the bass side of the top.

Weight - 6.1 pounds

Nut width - 1.69 inches

1st fret depth - 0.94 inches

9th fret depth - 1.02 inches

Scale length - 25.5 inches

The guitar comes with a later Epiphone Emperor hardshell case that is in very good condition.  All latches and hinges work as they should.
