The king of the Epiphone archtops, this 18 3/8” lower bout beauty was owned by a single family since new before coming to us. It long ago received a professional refret. The frets are still in excellent shape with very little wear. The guitar plays beautifully with the action currently set about as low as I would ever recommend on an acoustic archtop. The hardware is all original, except for a custom made replacement button on one of the tuners. The original finish is is very good condition, except for considerable finish wear on the neck. The back and sides are 100% crack free. The top has a cleated, stable, repaired crack on the bass side and a very small repaired crack near the pickguard brace. The bracket for the frequensator tailpiece has a minute crack on the bass side which has not grown at all in the four years since I first saw this guitar.
 
A somewhat later hardshell Emperor case which is in good condition is included. Structurally the case is very solid with no issues.
