This is a beautiful example from the second golden era of Gibson archtops as the people in Kalamazoo were really hitting their post-war stride going into the 1950s. This is a player's grade example with some top crack repairs and a replacement ebony bridge.  The pickguard is a gorgeous replacement made by 1929 Pickguards.  The tuners, truss rod cover, and tailpiece appear original, as does the finish which is in very nice condition for a guitar that is approaching 80 years old.  There is a little bit of wear through to the wood in a couple of spots on the neck, some scattered light scratches and dents of the body, and a bit of a sloppy reglue of the binding around the treble side f-hole.  None of this affects the playability or great tone of the guitar.

The guitar plays great with level frets that are in excellent condition and a C-shaped neck carve.  The guitar has very even tone throughout all registers with the increased bass response one expects in an 18-inch guitar.  It's also one of those early post-war examples that has a Brazilian rosewood fretboard.
