These dot neck 335s coming in just keep getting better and better.  This one is in absolutely amazing condition for a 66 year old guitar.  The finish is glossy with very little wear, other than the pictured spot on the bass side of the neck near the headstock.  Otherwise, other than a few chips on the back edge of the top of the headstock and one by the binding at the pickguard bracket the original finish on this guitar looks almost like a new. The electronics, pickguard, bridge, tailpiece, control knobs, tuners, and truss rod cover are all original to the guitar. The original frets are still in nice condition.  The tuners are the original ones, but the buttons are replacements.  The third fret pearloid dot is currently missing, but will be replaced once we have one in, unless it is purchased prior to that. The low E string tuner is slightly bent, but functions fine. The third fret dot markerThe only other cosmetic thing the buyer should know about this guitar is that it did have a Bigsby B3 on it at one time which caused a faint outline of the tailpiece on the top.  The good news is that as it was a B3 there were no screws put into the top.  It did, however, require screws around the endpin area to hold the tailpiece on it, so the holes for that mount are present in that area around the endpin.

The neck angle is perfect and the neck is dead straight.  The action can go ridiculously low if wanted.  The truss rod works beautifully. The C-shaped carve is consistent with what is found on 335s from later 1959 through early 1960, and before they started to go to the shallower carve.  It's also before they made the change to the short pickguard and the reflector knobs. The year is 1960, but the guitar is the exact same specs as the "holy grail" 1959.
