Have you ever wished for a Guild Artist Award, but could afford the very high price? Here is a real alternative to consider. This A-150 has a replacement pickguard and a reissue DeArmond 1000, but is otherwise all original.

While it has less bling, like the Artist Award, this has a solid hand carved spruce top, unlike the pressed top of the new reissues. This is a true acoustic archtop with a very resonant body that put out a full loud sound, but the DeArmond pickup sounds great and is very comparable to the vintage DeArmond pickups in tone, and I have experience with many of the vintage 50s and 60s 1000s and 1100s.

The playability is wonderful with the Thomastik Infeld Swing 12s set which are currently on the guitar. The bridge has room to allow for adjustment either up or down. The truss rod is fully functional.

There are a few small dings, as pictured. There is also a finish crack on the bass side, near the neck. The wood of the top shows no evidence of involvement.

The original hard shell case is included.
