If I were in the market for an ES-335, this one would be a keeper. This one has all of it's original parts. It also includes its original, well-worn hardshell case. This guitar set up like a dream. The playability is just fantastic. The frets have some wear, but have a fair amount of life left in them. They are the typical flat-wide frets of the period. They play extremely well, due to the straight neck and level frets, but they definitely are not jumbos. The neck pickup is capable of warm, jazz tones, but these original pickups can really come to life with some overdrive. I even tried it out with some high gain sounds through my EVH 5150 III, and it delivered. The finish shows laquer checking throughout, not unusual for an almost 50 year old Gibson. Other than the checking, the finish and hardware are in really good shape. As can be seen in the photos, there is nothing more than some very light scratches on the body. There is light chipping around the edges of the headstock, also. The original hardshell case is included, and again it is well worn and has a replacement handle. However, it is solid and all of the latches work. Weight - 7 lb 7 oz Our certification for shipping rosewood is currently being processed.
