Here is a really nice example of Gibson's classic short scale (23 1/2 inch), thinline archtop.  This one is made from all solid woods with a carved spruce top and carved maple back. It is in all original condition with the exception of a replacement pickguard. The overall condition is excellent with almost no noticeable playwear and only some small finish dings.  The gold hardware shows very little wear.  This Byrdland presents in remarkable condition for a guitar that is nearly 50 years old, and comes with its original hard shell case.

This guitar plays beautifully over the straight neck with low, fast action.  The electronics all work as they should, as does the truss rod.  It sounds simply fantastic through a clean amp as well as overdriven.  It also has quite a good acoustic voice for a thinline hollowbody with electronics mounted in the top with plenty of volume for playing or practicing at home.  The original Grover Sealfast tuners work perfectly.  The neck has a very comfortable 60s C-shaped carve.

The guitar comes with the original hardshell case with purple lining.   All of the latches and hinges work correctly and the cloth top stay is intact.
