One of just 43 ES-175T thinline archtops made in wine red by Gibson in 1976, this guitar is in truly phenomenal, all original condition, considering that it is fast approaching 50 years old.  The finish show light scratches in the clear coat and one slightly deeper impression that doesn't go through the finish near the neck pickup, as pictured.  The finish shows no checking and the chrome finish on the hardware looks almost new.

The guitar plays beautifully with low, fast action.  The frets are in excellent condition.  All notes ring out clearly, and the original T-tops are one of my personal favorites in archtop guitars.  This guitar has the slimline body which many players find more comfortable than a full thickness archtop, and it also delivers the tone of a Gibson hollowbody guitar.  A player can use this guitar in any situation that a regular ES-175 might be used with that same great Gibson archtop tone.

The guitar comes with its original hardshell case, original pickguard, and pickguard mounting hardware (pickguard is currently off).
