This Gibson Firebird is one of the original, first year issue, limited edition '76 Bicentennial Firebird with the red and white firebird logo on the pickguard and gold hardware that are unique to the model. It is in all original condition, but one strap button has been moved from the side of the guitar to the back of the neck. The strap button itself is original, as are all other parts, even the frets.
The guitar plays great, and the frets have quite a bit of life left in them. The pickups have the classic Firebird sound associated with players such as Johnny Winter and Allen Collins, among others. All of the all original electronics work appropriately. The original banjo-style tuners work great.
The finish is in overall great condition for a guitar that will be 50 years old in 2026. There is some light scratching of the back and a few dents along the edge. The gold plating of the hardware and the original reflector knobs show wear, but are in great functional condition.
