This Gibson RD Custom is in all original condition, including all of the original electronics.  The Moog electronics in this guitar function perfectly.  In my opinion, the simplified version of the Moog circuits in the RD Custom is better than the more complicated version found in the RD Artist.  For some reason, the bright/lead mode on the RD Custom seems to sound better than it does on the RD Artist.   While I can often find a bright mode too piercing, in this case it seems to add clarity to my ear.
 
The playability is simply unbeatable.  The action is very low over the perfectly straight neck.  If you're looking for a great playing RD Custom, look no further.
 
The guitar shows the signs of a great playing and great sounding guitar.  It has been played a lot in its over 40 years and has picked up its share of dings along the way.  At the same time, it has certainly not been abused.  This is a guitar for a serious player, including one that wants a great guitar for gigging.
