This 1978 FA-300's label is signed by Japanese master luthier M. Sugihara and is one of the smoothest playing archtops I've come across. I find the playability comparable to most Gibson Custom Shop models I've played. The neck has a nice medium C profile and the frets have very little wear. The Super 70 pickups have a beautiful singing tone. 

The body has a few small dings and scratches, as pictured, but the condition is very good for a 38 year old guitar.  The binding has cracking, typical of this era of Japanese guitars. A couple of small chips are gone out of the binding, but most is intact and seems stable. 

Everything appears to be original, except for a 1/8" plug and jack being added between the pickups and the pots and the bridge may or may not be original.
