This is an absolutely stunning example of one of the first Gibson Custom Shop reissues of the dot neck ES-335. Gibson used high grade flamed maple for this guitar and gave it a very uncommon antique sunburst finish.

There are minor dings here and there, but the finish is glossy, and overall looks great for a guitar that's approaching 40 years old.

After a cleaning and oiling of the fretboard, the guitar was given a fresh set up with a new set of Ernie Ball Slinky strings, 10-46. With the new set up, the guitar plays like a dream. The neck is as straight as can be and the original frets have only a small amount of wear. The neck profile is similar to a typical '59 reissue. The original Tim Shaw humbuckers sound amazing too.

The original pots come with the guitar, but it currently has a replacement set of CTS pots in it. The guitar came to us that way. We have not tested the original pots, so we are not sure how well they function. The strap buttons have been changed for Schaller strap locks. I could probably find a correct set for the buyer for a small fee, if desired.

The guitar comes in a Gibson USA hard shell case that is in excellent condition. The combination for the case has never been set.
