This 1983 Gibson Les Paul Spotlight Special was originally owned by Jeff LaBar of Cinderella and seen in some promotional photo shoots early during the Night Songs era.
 
The guitar plays beautifully and sounds amazing.  It has been in the TRM collection for years.  We have decided to make some of the guitars in the TRM collection with exceptional provenance/historical significance or which are exceptional examples of their model available for purchase.  Keep in mind, they are only available at a premium price for these reasons.  This guitar is no exception in that it was originally owned by one of the guitarists of one of the best known bands of the 1980s.  It also happens to be an exceptionally good Les Paul.
 
The overall condition is very good for its age, but it does show some light buckle worming on the back and light scratches on the top.  The tuners are not orignal, but are the same style Gibson Deluxe tuners as the orignal ones.  The original pickups were out of the guitar at one time, but the orignals were reinstalled.  The pickup rings are replacement Gibson stock.
 
The guitar comes with the orignal case which is the rarely seen Lifton type used for the early pre-custom shop reissue Les Pauls.  The case is in very good condition with all working latches and hinges.  Perhaps most remarkably of all, the original handle, which is usually broken on these, is in excellent condition.
