The D'Aquisto Standard was produced in limited quantities in 1984 and 1985 only & features a number of D'Aquisto's signature designs, including his original single point f-holes. The Schaller humbuckers were specially designed just for this guitar and offers fat, full tones and the laminate build offers superior feedback resistance. The dimensions are similar to the ES-175 with the 16" body width and a 2 3/4" body depth. The scale length is 24 3/4 inches, also similar to an ES-175.  It's very hard to find an American made archtop of this quality for under $2000.  These guitars are a great find.

The guitar is in excellent condition overall with no more than light surface finish scratches which could easily be buffed out, should the new owner desire.  The maple has light birdseye figuring.  The hardware is all in superb condition with no issues.  The rosewood tailpiece mimics Jimmy D'Aquisto's design, and the wooden control knobs add an upscale touch.

The neck has a classic Fender C shape.  The frets are medium jumbos and show only very light wear, and have more than 90% of their life left. Bound headstock with sealed Fender tuners in perfect working condition.  The neck is straight with a functioning truss rod which allows for low set, super fast action.  The guitar is a fantastic player.  The bridge has plenty of room for adjustment, either up or down to the player's preference.

The electronics are all original and the guitar is very versatile with a warm, fat neck pickup tone.  The bridge pickup has nice bite for blues playing.  The pickups also blend nicely to either warm the bridge or brighten the neck pickup.

The original hardshell case is included.  The handle has been replaced.  All of the latches and hinges work perfectly.
