This Gibson ES-175 is an unusual “Custom Shop Edition” made during the 25th Anniversary of the Johnny Smith model. What makes it different from the usual ES-175 is the Johnny Smith model maple neck with standard 25-inch scale and ebony fretboard (Super 400 style inlays) of that model and the use of gold hardware. 
The electronics are original with Tim Shaw humbuckers.  The guitar was refretted at some point and the current tuners appear to be the third set on it. 
The neck is perfectly straight, allowing for low, fast action.
