This is a stunning 1997 Artist III by Paul Reed Smith. It features a mahogany back with exceptional (artist grade) maple top, 22-fret South American mahogany neck, East Indian rosewood fretboard, paua bird inlays, paua purfling on neck, headstock, and truss rod cover, Artist Series pickups, 5-way rotary, volume, tone, gold PRS stoptail and locking tuners, certificate of authenticity, leather/hard-shell case, leather/hard-shell case.
The guitar is in fantastic cosmetic and playing condition. There are scattered very light surface scratches in the finish, but no deep scratches. There is no visible fretwear. I would rate this guitar as near mint.
In this guitar the 5 way switch is currently replaced by a three way toggle switch, but the 5 way switch is included. The neck pickup ring has also been replaced with one that has a built in tuner. The original switch will ship in the case with the guitar.
All of the original case candy, including a back panel cover signed by Paul, an additional unsigned one, and the Custom Shop certificate, also signed by Paul is included, along with the original hardshell case.
