The H-550 Custom is the top of the laminate archtop line from Heritage and mimics its obvious progenitor, the Gibson ES-350.  This one certainly shows it with the wildly flamed maple used throughout this guitar's naturally finished body and 3-ply neck.

This H-550 also has the interesting factory addition of an LR Baggs piezo bridge which is why it has an easily accessible battery compartment on the back.  The piezo circuit has its own, separate out put jack, making this a stereo output guitar (one piezo output, and one magnetic pickup output).  The combination of this piezo, a Lollar CC humbucker sized single coil in the neck position, and an original Heritage (Rendall Wall designed and made) humbucker in the bridge position gives this guitar remarkable versatility with great high quality sound no matter what is needed.

The playability is wonderful with action that can be taken remarkably low with all notes continuing to ring out clearly.  The neck is full with a D-shape and a 1 3/4" nut width that is very comfortable.  The frets are in great shape with lots of life left in them.

The finish is in great condition overall with some light impressions and light scratching on the back, as well as some very small finish chips on the back near the neck joint, as pictured.  Overall though, the finish looks great.
