Here we have another superb example of the craftsmanship and quality that the Vestax D'Angelico guitars have become known for.  If you aren't familiar with the NYL-5, it is essentially the same guitar as the 17 inch NYL-2, but with a thinner body.  If you were to compare it to a Gibson L-5, the NYL-2 would be the standard L-5 and the NYL-5 would be the L-5 CT.

This one is in superb condition, although there is a very small chip in the headstock, as pictured.  It plays and sounds like a dream.  The action is low and fast and the fret wear is very little.  The bridge has room to adjust either up or down and there is absolutely no top sink.  

I'd like to add that while this is the thinner model, it has a great acoustic sound.  In fact, of the multiple Vestax guitars that I have for sale or have owned, I dare say that it may actually have the best acoustic sound.  These guitars also have a great electric tone.  I've played several gigs with these Vestax guitars and they always shine.
