This 2002 Steinberger GM2S is one of the Gibson Nashville made Newburgh reissue models that were done following the sale of Steinberger to Gibson. This particular example is in excellent condition with only light finish wear, mostly in the form of very light surface scratches with a few areas of very slightly heavier scratches.
The guitar plays wonderfully with low, fast action. All notes ring out clearly at all frets. The frets are in excellent condition, showing very little wear. The S-Trem works perfectly.
The pickups were changed to Carvin models at some point. These pickups especially excel at overdriven and high gain tones. The tone pot was also replaced with a Stellartone ToneStyler selectable equalizer, and the control cavity has been shielded with copper tape.
RWB Precision is also selling drop in TransTrem bridges that are drop in replacements for Steinberger S-Trem and T-Trem bridges that would allow simple conversion to make this guitar a TransTrem.
Weight - 8.3 pounds
The guitar comes with a TKL made Steinberger hardshell case.
