This guitar comes from my personal collection.  It is a specially made presentation grade LeGrand.  In addition to the usual LeGrand specs, it has real abalone inlays, an abalone heel cap, and abalone purfling along the fretboard, around the headstock, around the body (front and back) and around the pickguard.  The inlays in the bridge base are also abalone.  These are all custom appointments which show the high level of craftsmanship, and the extra time and attention to detail that was required to create this masterpiece.

This is simply one of the finest modern archtops I've ever had the opportunity to see, much less play.  The acoustic sound is rich and tends to bloom, probably at least partially a result of its x-bracing.  The electric sound is very much like the best Johnny Smiths that I've played.  The playability is simply unbeatable.  The action can be set very low, while maintaining a full acoustic tone.  Fast runs are a breeze on this neck.

The condition is not mint, but is very, very good.  There is a very shallow dent in the top (pictured), about 4 mm in length, and a couple of very slight impressions in the finish that are less than 1 mm.  The rest of the finish is nearly flawless.  The pictured truss rod cover is one that I had custom made, but the original engraved gold one comes with the guitar.  The original hardshell case and all case candy, including the certificate of authenticity are included.
