At That Rhythm Man Guitars, we are always excited to get in one of these Elitist Broadways. Made in the Terada factory in Japan these guitars are consistently made to exceedingly high standards, using very high quality materials throughout. This example is in amazing condition.
The finish on this example is in nearly mint condition. There are no dents or cracks. There are only the finest of scratches which could easily be buffed out, should the new owner want. The top of this blonde guitar is beautiful and clear with straight grain. The sides and back are made of the highest grade, heavily flamed maple. The neck is 5-ply maple/walnut with a dark ebony fingerboard.
The playability is superb. The action is low and fast. All notes ring out clearly. The neck is a full, round C shape with very little taper.
The tone is classic L-5 style archtop, and that is where these guitars shine. You can get at least 90% of the way to an L-5 for less than half the price.
The frets show some light playwear, but it does not affect the playability at all at this point in their life. A level and crown would make them look new, but it's not at all needed for playability or intonation.
The original hardshell case which is in nearly new condition is included. Remarkably, the original owner retained all of the case candy in new condition, something that is not seen very often.
