This 2006 Martin Golden Era 000-18 is from the first year of this now discontinued model.  It is in very good condition with only some light surface scratches in the finish.  The frets are in very good condition with light wear and lots of life left.  The nut on these earlier models is said to be fossil ivory (I have not confirmed) and the bridge pins are ebony.

The playability is great with action within factory spec.  The tone is full and warm with singing sustain.  These really bring a lot of that pre-war 1930s Martin tone.  I had an exceptionally good sounding 1931 OM-45 and while this of course has the somewhat shorter 24.9 inch scale, this guitar compares very favorably in many ways for a minute fraction of the cost.

Weight - 4.0 pounds
