This 2007 Gibson SG Standard in silverburst finish was one of the Guitar of the Week models that were done in that year. Each week was limited to 400 guitars and this one was from week 3.
The guitar is freshly set up with GHS Boomers 10-46 and it plays beautifully with low, fast action. The guitar is set up to handle anything you can throw at it.
It sounds great clean, but really stands out when taken into overdrive. The model stands out in build from the usual SG standard in having an ebony fretboard, in contrast to the usual rosewood, keeping the attack more tight and crisp.
It is all original, except for Schaller strap lock buttons replacing the original strap buttons. It shows the playwear of a well-loved, but never abused guitar with lots of surface scratches and scuffs as well as buckle worming. The frets show some wear, but are in very good condition overall with lots of life left in them.
