The Gibson Les Paul Antique was 2008's guitar of the week #14, and only 400 were made. This particular example is in near mint condition with the only flaw I have found being an internal crack in the neck pickup volume knob. The maple top has beautiful flame.
The guitar has a wonderfully straight neck and plays beautifully. This is actually the first guitar in our shop with the H90 pickups. If you're not familiar with the H90, it is essentially a stacked humbucker version of the P90 pickup. The circuit also has a push-pull coil split at each tone control, so the single coil tone of a P90 is also on tap. When testing, I was surprised at just how good these pickups sound (so much, I almost bought this guitar for myself). I wouldn't use this guitar to play metal, but they have a great overdriven tone, and a superb clean tone.
The original hard shell case and case candy are included.
