Here is a beautiful reissue of the iconic Silverburst Les Paul Custom, done by Gibson's Nashville Custom Shop team. 

They nailed the look of the late 70s - early 80s Les Paul Custom with this reissue. I should know, I've had an original 1980 LP Custom Silverburst since 1990. That 1980 was my number one for 20 years. In my opinion this is the second best Les Paul I have ever played, my Silverburst being the best. 

If you don't like the "greening" of the old ones, this would be perfect for you. Get your hands on some original Tim Shaw pickups and you have a near perfect replica, but without the crap shoot of a Norlin era guitar. This one is pure custom shop quality. 

This guitar comes equipped with the 490R/498T pickup combination. The action is low and fast. All notes ring out clearly with no buzz. It weighs in at 9 lb 13 oz. 

The defects are few. Other than fine hairline scratches that could easily buffed out, there is on light dent near the pickup switch, less than 1/4" in length (see pic). There is some mild corrosion on some of the metal parts and the pickup switch tip is missing. Fretwear is barely detectable. 

A set of Dunlop strap locks are installed and the strap hardware is included. The original strap buttons and screws will be included to make the guitar 100% original. 

The guitar comes with the original, vintage style hardshell case, certificate of authenticity, and inspection/warranty card.
