This is a stunning one owner Nashville Custom Shop Gibson CS-356. The top is solid carved flamed maple and the rest of the body is fully routed mahogany, creating a semi-hollow body guitar in the ES-335 tradition, but made with solid woods in a smaller size for those who prefer a guitar near the size of a Les Paul. This one is an absolute tone machine. It is currently set up with D’Addario half-round 11s. With these strings it can go from pure jazz with the tone rolled back a little on the neck pickup or it can absolutely scream if switched to the bridge. The neck is made of solid mahogany, and of special note, the fingerboard is ebony, not Richlite. If you were to call Gibson, they would tell you Richlite, as that is the standard fingerboard for the CS-356, but this one was custom made with ebony. I’ve added several close up photos of the fingerboard, so that you can easily see that it truly is ebony. The neck is perfectly straight and I was able to easily set it up for superb playability. The finish is in excellent shape with no more than a few hairline scratches. The only real flaw I’ve been able to identify is a tiny pinhole in the fingerboard next to the 21st fret marker All of the original parts are included, but as you can see, the graphite bridge saddles and locking strap buttons currently on the guitar are aftermarket parts. The original hardshell case and all case candy are included. Price includes free shipping in the continental US. International buyers, please contact me for shipping options.
