This Epiphone Prophecy Plus EX was marked as a factory second, but I honestly cannot find a flaw in the wood or the finish. Other than being marked as a second, it looks flawless to me, and is in new condition.
The playability also is flawless. The action is set low and plays without any buzzing, due to the straight neck and the well finished frets. The "SpeedTaper" neck has a flattened D shape, somewhat similar to an Ibanez Wizard neck, at least much more similar to that than any usual Gibson neck.
With the EMG 85/81 pickup set, this guitar is a beast through a high gain amp. It has a very fast, percussive attack and great sustain.
The classic Epiphone inlays used look fantastic and look just like those originally used on the original Epiphone Company's Emperor which was their top of the line large body archtop, giving this guitar a very high end inlay feature.
The original hard shell case is included.
