This Gibson 1959 Reissue ES-175 is old stock that just came to us direct from Gibson. It has a few minor finish dings and scratches as pictured, but is in overall excellent condition. The neck is straight and the action is excellent with all notes ringing out clearly. The back of the headstock is stamped "DEMO".
The 1959 reissues have a lighter build than the regular run ES-175s from the late 1960s to the end of the model run in about 2017. This gives the reissue a feel and sound much more similar to the vintage 1950s guitars that we have had. The MHS pickups are a great PAF facsimile, unpotted like the original PAFs. This guitar has all of the versatility of the original dual pickup ES-175, excelling at jazz and blues, but being a very capable rock guitar as well.
