This 2016 Gibson L9 was made by the Crimson Custom division where the best of best guitar builders at Gibson were working at the time.  The guitar was signed off by James Culbertson whose reputation as head of the division was impeccable.  This guitar is in phenomenal, near mint condition with only the lightest of surface scratching of the clear coat.  This guitar could easily be buffed out to look 100% mint.  The action is low and fast.  It plays simply beautifully with all notes ringing out clearly.  The carved, solid, intensely flamed maple top is a nice touch.  This guitar is made all of solid woods and is a full hollowbody with only a reinforcing strip in the top for mounting of the bridge and stop bar tailpiece.  It is very resonant and pairs so very well with the 57 Classic humbuckers, one of the best pickups Gibson has ever used in archtop guitars.
