We at That Rhythm Man Guitars are pleased to present a very rare variation of the orginal classic, semi-hollowbody guitar, the Gibson ES-335. We have the only two with these spec that we know of.  This was the best of the best of the Memphis era, one of the few ES-335s to be made with hand selected woods, and in a custom color, hence the "hand select" designation you can see on the label. Most hand selected Gibsons are Les Pauls, and even those are rare. The specs are 1964 reissue, but the color appears to have been a custom order variation as far as I can tell, as Sparkling Burgundy was not used prior to 1967 for the ES-335.  Those guitars made in 1967-1969 mostly have the less popular narrow neck, but this one has the more popular 1 11/16" nut width.   I have only been able to find other sparkling burgundy 1964 reissues in Japan, and they were all made with a Bigsby tailpiece.

The playability is wonderful with low action and no fret buzzing. The tone is classic Gibson semi-hollow. The pickups are MHS II which simply sound great. I'm sure if you're looking for a great ES-335 that has the amazing look of sparkling burgundy that you will be very happy to own this one.

This ES-335 is in excellent condition, but has a small, very superficial scuff on the back of the neck that I can see, but not feel. It also has a few small factory defects that I have tried to picture, as well as a hairline scratch by the neck pickup. The back of the headstock is stamped "DEMO".

The original hardshell case, COA, and case candy are all included.
