This Gibson Custom Shop 1957 reissue Les Paul Standard comes in a color that has been used only in a few limited runs called Antique Metallic Teal and can be pretty hard to find on the used market.  This color is very similar to a well aged Pelham blue guitar.  Imagine if Gibson in 1957 had done a Les Paul Standard with a Pelham blue instead of the usual gold paint on the top, and you would have a guitar to day that would look pretty much just like this one.  This guitar not only looks amazing it's loaded with a Custombucker set that is a perfect match for this guitar.  This guitar sounds very close to 1950s PAF loaded guitars that I've had a chance to play.  This guitar even sound great doing metal (something I've found guitars with great PAFs can also do).  The action and playability are spot on.  The action is low and all notes ring out clearly at all frets.  I find the neck to be very fast with a full, but not oversized C-shaped 1957 carve.
 
There is a small scuff in the finish next to the switch cavity cover and a small spot that appears like a spot of wear through in the clear coat finish next to the bridge humbucker.  Otherwise, the finish is in phenomenal condition.  The nickel hardware is all aged with the Gibson VOS treatment.
