This is the most exquisite Trenier archtop that we have had at TRM Guitars so far, both in terms of the incredible bearclaw spruce used for the top and the sound that it generates. This custom build was based largely around the Pasquale Grasso signature model, featuring many of its specifications.  Additionally, it has custom cloud/moon inlays. 
 
Like the Pasquale Grasso signature, this guitar features a Tyrolean (Italian alpine) spruce top, maple back and sides, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, zero fret, 25-inch scale, 15th fret neck joint for improved higher access, and the no longer available floating Charlie Christian style pickup made by Pete Biltoft (now retired from pickup building) with controls mounted in the tailpiece. As mentioned before, the spruce used in this guitar is of remarkable quality and the sound generated by this guitar speaks volumes about not only this piece of wood, but Bryant Trenier's skill in bringing out its potential.
 
Thanks to a perfectly executed PLEK job, this guitar has flawless playability.  There is nothing more that one could ask for in ease of playing.  The frets show essentially no identifiable wear. The neck has a comfortable C-shaped carve.  The guitar has a remarkably snappy attack, rounded out by the full tone that develops.  The guitar has very even tone throughout the full spectrum of notes. Even strung with flatwound strings, the acoustic tone of this guitar shines, retaining that attack and tone in a way that is very rarely experienced.
 
The guitar is in excellent condition, showing only light cosmetic surface finish scratches which could be buffed to a perfect gloss if the new owner decided they wanted.
