One of 12 Artist Awards made in 1966, this Guild features flawless playability. Introduced as the Johnny Smith Award this archtop model was designed as an acoustic archtop with a floating DeArmond pickup, making it capable, both unplugged and amplified through the Guild Award Model by DeArmond pickup.
The notes all ring out beautifully across the entire fretboard with the low set action. The 1 11/16" nut width and C-shaped neck are very comfortable in the hand. The frets are in excellent condition with lots and lots of life left in them.
There are several scattered, small scuffs and dings, as picture. It's a player's guitar, but still in quite beautiful condition for a guitar that's over 50 years old. There are absolutely no cracks or breaks.
The guitar comes with a new TKL case which fits the guitar very nicely.
