The neck of this guitar is from a made in Japan Fender FSR Traditional 50s Stratocaster, one of the competition stripe models. The neck is in like new condition and has a nice rounded C profile and a 7.25 inch fretboard radius. The electronics are also from the FSR Traditional 50s Strat. I am using the body for a personal project and replaced it with a made in Mexico genuine Fender body in blue agave. The body has a small dent, a crack in the finish of the body at the adjacent to the neck pocket, but no crack in the wood. There are also a few small surface scuffs. All of these defects have close up photos. The original body is made of basswood. If you would prefer the tone of an alder body, like this one, this body would certainly be an upgrade. You will not find a 50s neck Strat that plays better. I currently have the action set ridiculously low. There is some slight fret buzz with the action set so low, but plugged in it is not noticeable at all. The buzz would be completely gone if the action was raised slightly and the action would still be very, very low. The guitar has all the classic Strat tone you could ever want. The deluxe Fender gig bag that originally came with the included FSR parts is included. International shipping is available. Please contact us for shipping quotes.
