This Private Stock PRS 408 was especially made for PRS Experience 2012.  It features the special color Faded Abalone, super highly figured maple top, figured mahogany neck and back, as well as a DGT neck carve.
 
This is a superb playing instrument with a wonderfully straight neck, allowing action to go about as low as anyone could ever want.  The frets are in excellent condition and perfectly level.  The DGT neck carve feels wonderful in the hand.  The 408 pickup set does exactly what it is supposed to do.  The narrower field of the neck pickup gives a more focused sound which has amazing clarity and the bridge pickup senses a broader range of string movement for a fuller tone.  This is the first 408 we've had in the shop and I'm really, really impressed with the sound.  The playability displays the excellence that I've come to expect from 35 years experience with PRS guitars.
