This L-5, despite being made during the early "advanced", x-braced years, it has solid, parallel bracing. Interestingly, it also has the slightly flatter top carve of the x-braced guitars.

It has a fresh set up with  a .012-.053 set of Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze strings.  The action set up beautifully, and all strings ring out clearly across the fretboard.  The tone is loud and clear with great note definition.

The original hardshell painted tweed case is included.  This one has my personal favorite L-5 tailpiece version which is very hard to come by as it was only used for a very short time.  The bridge is a later, two-footed Gibson bridge.  The top has two repaired and cleated, stable cracks.  The neck angle is good and the bridge has room for adjustment either up or down as the new owner prefers.  The nut has been replaced, but the original is included.
