This is an interesting old acoustic archtop by Kay with all original parts. It appears to have all maple construction with a faux flame finish. The original white pickguard sets the guitar off nicely. It has solid tone and is surprisingly quite loud. While the fingerboard looks like it’s been played a lot, it doesn’t look like the frets were ever crowned and polished. The action in the cowboy chord area is fine for about anyone. The action up higher on the neck is okay for chord work, but would make fast runs difficult. The guitar comes with a nicely fitting chipboard case which appears era appropriate.
